Dick Miles began playing table tennis on his mother’s dining table at the age of 12. He won his first United States Men’s Singles Crown at 19. Since then he has virtually dominated American competition.
He has won the United States Singles title an unprecedented 10 times and as a many-times member of the U.S. Swaythling Cup team he has represented this country in international play around the world.
Dick Miles is a native New Yorker. He attended New York University and was a full-time freelance writer and a frequent contributor to Sports Illustrated magazine.
